Acknowledgments

The CrocBITE project was conceived and is coordinated by Adam Britton (Big Gecko, RIEL @ Charles Darwin University, crocodilian.com), Erin Britton (Big Gecko, crocodilian.com) and Brandon Sideleau. Compilation of the database and primary moderation is the work of Brandon Sideleau. The project was funded by the Innovation@CDU program, an initiative run by Charles Darwin University, with additional funding and resources by Big Gecko Crocodilian Research and crocodilian.com. Database programming and site design by John Brisbin @ BoaB Interactive. Additional database software is provided by OpenDataSoft.

Data on crocodile attacks come from a variety sources, primarily cross-referenced media reports (online, print, archive) and a large number of contributors, that not only added important data from personal and government records but were instrumental in verification and providing useful feedback for the project. Each record will be appropriately credited in the database unless requested otherwise (this is a work in progress). We have also attempted to list everyone who has helped below, and apologise for any omissions.
